This free font from Clever Some Day is so cool, and I can just imagine the uses for this with hybrid crafting. Just type one of these out in a word processor or photoshop, resize as desired, give it a color (or leave it black!) and print. Then match up with a Nestability and cut and emboss! So cute!

While it is made for electronic cutters, I think it would work fabulously to decorate traditional die cuts in a different way. I plan on giving it a try very soon. I’ll let you know how it goes.

A Printable Freebie for Karen: Red with Black Polka Dots

Written by Jennifer on Jun 19 2009

My friend Karen Hunsaker needed some red polka dots for a project. I threw these together really fast yesterday in 8.5×11″ size, not really knowing exactly what kind of polka dots she was looking for. Here’s hoping these will work for what she needs!

Have a great weekend Karen!

Father’s Day Card #1 with Digital Hybrid Freebie

Written by Jennifer on Jun 18 2009

I’m generally not very good at sending cards appropriate for the current holiday. I fail at Mother’s Day completely, and it’s a rare thing for me to actually mail a birthday card. I rarely forget birthdays or holidays though. I have come to believe that it is the perfectionist in me that keeps me from sending cards or gifts. I believe, subconsciously or otherwise, that the gifts have to be the coolest, most perfect item and that the cards have to be over-the-top.

In an effort to repent of my slacker-hood, I’ve created three Father’s Day cards for the dads in my life. I’ve kept them quick, simple and to-the-point. The first of the three shown here is for my stepfather. He’s amazing, supportive and an all-around great guy.

I’ve included the sentiment for you to download as well, just click on the file, download and unzip. I used Spellbinders circles and pinking circles to outline the sentiment before covering it with buttons. Check back in the next couple of days for the other two cards!

Scrapbook Page and a Hybrid Freebie

Written by Jennifer on May 07 2009

I created this page last night for today’s blog entry over at Spellbinders. The blog entry there focuses on the awesome set of 6″ borders that add such great detail to any project.

Just Three

As I was coming up with a title for this page, I thought it would be cute to add a very simple brown stitched border to my Nestabilities Circle, so I created a fun digital template to do just that. For those of you who don’t mind printing things out on your computer, I’ve uploaded a template for you to do the same thing with your Nestabilities. There are three sets of brown stitches in this set of Printables (from now on, we’ll call them PA-Printables, just in case I make more of these). All the of them work with the same size circle, the largest die in the S4-116 Standard Circles, Small Nestabilities set.

Click the preview above to download the zip file containing the three shapes. Please leave me a comment if you download these. This concept has a ton of potential and I’d like to make more of these if there’s interest.

A Simple Thank You Card

Written by Jennifer on May 04 2009

I made this cute card last night using a Hero Arts “thanks” sentiment and background stamp, the Copic Airbrush System, an Impressability, and of course, Spellbinders Dies linked below. I really love how the Copic ABS works with the Impressabilities. It’s such an elegant technique.

Simple Thank You Card

The yellow polka dot paper is a printed version of a digital paper I designed myself, and I don’t mind sharing it here: Download Yellow Polka Dot Paper. This particular digital freebie is ok for any kind of use, just give credit to Jennifer Davis/Preservation Arts where possible. To download, RIGHT CLICK either the link or the image below and click “save link as” to save the jpg onto your own computer. Enjoy!
