About

I began scrapbooking when I quit my job as a science teacher six years ago in order to stay at home with my newborn son. After letting my creative side loose, I absorbed as much paper-crafting knowledge as possible, quickly branching into stamping and cardmaking. In early 2004, I met Stacey Caron, founder of Spellbinders Paper Arts, and worked with her to create sample projects, develop techniques, and teach classes all over the country. I have also designed extensively for Fiskars, have taught a variety of classes and have been published in several magazines, including Memory Makers, Creating Keepsakes and Scrapbooking & Beyond. Over a dozen of my projects have been featured on the PBS show, Scrapbook Memories. Over the past three years, I have been learning graphic design and digital scrapbooking. I love to combine the digital and traditional paper-crafting techniques and consider myself a hybrid paper-crafter. I have been married for ten years to my amazingly supportive husband Adam and we have three beautiful children, Isaac (6), Maiah(4), and Hannah(1).

I am now teaching science again at the Omaha Nation Middle School in Macy, Nebraska. I’m thrilled to teaching again, but sad to say that my blog will definitely suffer. I appreciate those of you who still visit my corner of the web!

My Blog Disclaimer: I am on the design team for Spellbinders Paper Arts until my tenure ends March 31, 2010. I receive free product from them and from their Cross Promotional partners and am required to use at least some of those products on projects that I create specifically for Spellbinders, many of which are posted here. That being said, all projects I post on my blog utilize products that I love, whether or not they were given to me for free. All opinions expressed here are my own and do not represent those of Spellbinders or any other sponsor. If you have any questions, please leave a comment in any of my posts. Thanks for reading!
